What's On Tonight (Monday): Prodigal Son Wraps It Up For The Fall On Fox

Hello one and all, there's a couple of shows wrapping up their respective fall runs this week, but for the most part we're entering the post Thanksgiving/December doldrums where holiday programming is gonna regularly become a thing and you're gonna see a lot more reruns and pre-emptions as the networks attempt to stretch out the seasons of the shows they have for January on.  (shrugs) That said here is What Is On for Monday December 2nd 2019

8:00

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (CBS): Case in point, the annual airing of this chestnut effectively pre-empting The Neighborhood and Bob Hearts Abishola this week, and that's ok, Mondays at 8 is as good a time to air it as any.

The Voice (NBC): The Top 10 Perform Live (Enter your vote now America!) (Again do people vote on this show or is all strictly up to the judges???)

9-1-1 (FOX): Holiday themed accidents include a shopper pushed over the edge, a woman who is literally having a Blue Christmas, a luggage handler involved in an accident on an airline tarmac. Maddie revisits her past in order to embrace her future; and Bobby receives some shocking news. (You do you 9-1-1, you do you!)

Great Christmas Light Fight (ABC): Season 7 of this now annual December filler show commences tonight. If you like bright lights and Christmas decorations but hate having to go outside in the cold to see them---then i guess this is the show for you!

All American (The CW): Spencer can't get excited about his football ranking and gets some guidance from Layla; Jordan gets some more news that he doesn't expect to hear at all; Laura makes a decision about where she and Billy stand; and Asher gets some clarity from his parents. (Clarity from parents! Clarity from parents! Clarity from parents! Sorry i got nothing for this entry)

Antiques Roadshow (PBS): 2 back to back rerun episodes from January of '18--both of them from Harrisburg PA. The first one has a Charles Heinie Wagner  Red Sox archive, a Carl Schweninger oil painting from 1850, a 1975 Yellow Submarine jacket designed for Carol Carpenter. The second hour has a 1963-68 NASA archive of Air Force Col Pearl Tucker, a painted Butcher Box circa 1800, and  Rusty Gumpart baseball archive. (Antiques! Antiques! Antiques!)

Monday Night Football (ESPN): Minnesota Vikings vs Seattle Seahawks

A Very Vintage Christmas (Lifetime): An antiques shop owner finds a hidden box containing an eclectic collection of mementos. With Tia Mowery Hardict and Jesse Hutch (Hey Keep Your Hands Off My...Jesse Hutch???) (Also MOAR ANTIQUES!)

Merry and Bright (Hallmark): A Candy Cane Company owner meets a man during Christmas. Starring Jodie Sweetin. I hightlighted this like a week or two back but its being rebroadcast already.

9:00

All Rise (CBS): This rerun episode has Judge Lola presiding over the annual "Love Day" event in which she serves as an officiant in a number of weddings of couples trekking to City Hall to make it legal and tie the knot. (Awwww)

Prodigal Son (FOX): This new fall show hopes to end the first half of its season on a bang tonight as "The Junkyard Killer" case heats back up. Knowing that the Junkyard Killer is still out there and was in cahoots with his father, Malcolm Bright goes against the FBI's wishes and continues his own private investigations; an epic blowout with Ainsley leads Jessica to take matters into her own hands (whatever that means) Hopefully after the ending of last week, we'll also finally get to the bottom of the matter of the disappearing woman in the box that Malcolm had sworn he had seen as a kid and has haunted his dreams ever since. (Last week they almost killed him!) (Hey its something to watch!)

Black Lightning (The CW): Going up against the ASA is our titular hero; Tobias continues to manipulate Lynn in "The Book of Resistance Chapter 3--The Battle of Franklin Terrace) (Even the chapters get their own titles apparently!)

His Dark Materials (HBO): The alethiometer sends Lyra and Lorock on a new path leading to a shocking but vital clue. (The what now???)

Garth Brooks: The Road I'm On (A&E) Two part biography of Garth Brooks which has extensive interviews with him about his past, present, and what he hopes his future will bring. Obviously there will be performance footage as well.

American Pickers (History): Honoring their late father and his massive stockpile of rusty gold, 2 sisters in upstate NY invite the guys over to pick thru dad's epic untouched garage. (Untouched Garage--also the name of your sex tape!)

Wrap Battle (Freeform): Reality show airing two back to back hours tonight about competitive gift wrappers. (nods) So this is a thing that i'm actually surprised i havn't seen before now that i think on it.

Fred Claus (AMC): FRED CLAUS! FRED CLAUS! FRED CLAUS!  (I dunno why i highlighted this either)

Holiday Baking Championship (Food): More Baking--Holiday Style

9:30

Green Acres (MeTV): Oliver decides to hire an ex-con, Willie Dunhill, as a farmhand. A decision that i'm sure will be warmly embraced by all the townspeople.

10:00

Bull (CBS): In a rerun ep from May that i actually remember being pretty strong,  Bull must mount a defense for Taylor's brother-in law who is a prison guard being charged with manslaughter after two prisoners drowned in the middle of a hurricane when he was given conflicting orders about whether or not to evacuate the prisoners or not since the prison was right in the path of the hurricane. (Of course the issue soon becomes whether or not he's the one at fault since he wasn't entirely sure what the orders from up high were)

Making It (NBC): The second season of this Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman hosted crafts centered game show makes its premiere here. (Shrugs) Do you like crafts? Do you like the comedy stylings of Poehler or Offerman? Do you like nachos?

The Good Doctor (ABC): Dr. Shaun Muprhy visits his dad on his deathbed and the family reunion provides unexpected results. An injured NFL star player must be treated; and Claire finally addresses her mental health and behavior following the unexpected death of her mom.  (As you might predict from the nature of these plotlines, this is also the fall finale of this show as well)

Modern Marvels That Changed America (PBS): In yet another rerun from '18, this hour long special provides a look at the connection of roads and bridges to rail networks and a continent wide freeway system. (We Goin' Ridin' On The Freeway--Whoa Whoa In a Pink Cadillac)

American Dad (TBS): 2 back to back rerun episodes from August--the first one has Roger taking Stan into Francine's dreams to see what she dreams about, and the second episode flash-forwards to the future when the estranged family reunites at Klaus' funeral (awww) They were both pretty solid episodes from what i remember of them!

American Pickers (History): Mike gets a case of bad to the bone Fairlane Fever and he also goes back to the future (ha) in a Delorean when the Pickers chase garage gold. (More Garage Gold??? They should come over to my house, we have a garage full of crap--as well as bugs! A lotta, lotta bugs, it turns out our garage was infested which is why they were swarming into my basement here!)

Christmas Cookie Championship (Food): Baking Cookies Competitively.

HAVE A GOOD MONDAY LADIES AND GERMS---IT WAS SLEETING FOR A GOOD PORTION OF THE DAY HERE, AND ITS SUPPOSED TO SNOW SEVERAL INCHES TOMORROW SO I DON"T KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE BY YOUS GUYS BUT STAY SAFE???
