Yo Adrian! Here lies what's on for December 6th--
Streaming:
Amazon has multiple Emmy winning show The Marvelous Mrs. Maizel returning for its 3rd season. (hence the Top Pick status even tho i personally have yet to actually sit thru an episode--i guess i should at some point right? I mean Tony Shaloub!)
They also have the 2nd season of a show called "Inside Edge" which is about the shenanigans of a fictional cricket team called The Mumbai Mavericks. (I'm assuming the crossover audience between this and Maizel is slim)
Apple TV has the premiere of new crime show "Truth Be Told" starring Octavia Spencer and Aaron Paul--I've been seeing a ton of ads for this one on tv over the past week or two, so clearly Apple is betting big on this one. (The plot is about a convicted murderer on death row who claims he's been framed--and the detective who put him away somehow starts believing him for some reason and tries to go back to see if she erred back when she was convinced that he was the killer)
They also of course have their now weekly new episodes of The Mandalorian, and World According to Jeff Goldblume, and See, and The Servant and For All Mankind
Hulu meanwhile has the premiere of a new revenge inspired series called "Reprisal" starring Abigail Spencer, Mena Massoud, and Rodrigo Santoro its about "a relentless femme fatale whom after being left for dead leads a vengeful campaign against a group of bombastic gearheads"
Netflix ever reliable, has a number of premieres of its own (of course it does) including the streaming debut of the currently in art house theaters indie film "Marriage Story" (starring Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson)
The 5th season premiere of Fuller House (I thought that had ended???)
A seemingly Hallmark friendly show called "Virgin River" "Searching for a fresh start, a nurse practitioner moves from LA to a more remote northern California town and is surprised by what she finds there" Staring Alexandra Breckenridge, Marin Henderson (of Grey's Anatomy) and Tim Matheson
A sketch comedy show exec produced by Black-ish's Kenya Barris called "The Astronomy Club: Sketch Show"
A competitive reality show from England about make-up artists called "Glow Up"
A docu-series about a guy who confessed to hundreds of unsolved murders but it turned out he apparently lied about them all called "The Confession Killer"
A Spanish Language drama about four sisters dealing with family secrets throughout three different time periods--but all of which happen to take place on Christmas Day in something called "Three Days of Christmas" (Victoria Abril and Elena Anaya star--they're both veterans of Almodovar films)
And a drama from Taiwan (in Mandarin) called "Triad Princess" "After jostling her way into a gig as a celebrity bodyguard, the boisterous daughter of a powerful triad boss shakes up a TV star's life and finds love"
(exhales)
