Totally Tunes: Sounds of the 60s

The 60s seem to be the era where the world started the long process of actually waking up and being involved. We're not quite there yet, but the sounds of the 60s have shaped our music and us forever.

Today we celebrate the wonderful music created during that magical, psychedelic time in history.

Just a few of my favorites from the 60s. I didn't even cover some of the greats like The Mamas and The Papas or CCR or The Stones or...etc, etc, etc. I'll leave those greats for you!

The Beatles - Strawberry Fields Forever (1967)

The Monkees - Steppin' Stone (1967)

Ray Charles - Hit the Road Jack (1961)

Bob Dylan - Lay Lady Lay (1969)

Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell - You're All I Need To Get By (1968)

Aretha Franklin - I Say A Little Prayer (1968)

Buffalo Springfield - For What It's Worth (1967)

The Animals - We Gotta Get Out Of This Place (1965)

Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild (1968)

Your turn now! Share some of your 60s favs!
