What's On Tonight (Monday): The Terror and Lodge 49 End Their Seasons....Did You Even Know They Were Still On???

This is what's on Monday October 14th 2019

8:00

The Neighborhood (CBS): When Dave accidentally knocks out the Butler's power during a heat wave, Cedric and Tina spend the night at the Johnson's home. Malcolm has some fun at marty's expense when he crashes at his little brother's refurbished apt. (I love how i can literally see the episode in my head already--"You can stay at my place!!!" "Uh I don't think so Dave" "No, no, no see i knocked out your power, so now you can knock out your own power at my place!""You what now?"

The Voice (NBC): Blind Auditions Part 7

9-1-1 (FOX): The team races to save workers in a high rise during a fire drill;  car accident victims and their siblings are fighting over a family heirloom; Buck gives Bobby some surprising news; Eddie helps Christopher deal with the trauma caused by the tsunami. (post stress trauma i take it)

Dancing With the Stars (ABC): Disney Night (Technically since its ABC, every night is Disney night)

All American (The CW): Spencer is taken aback to learn when his dad has added to the team; Jordan faces repercussions for not taking in the upcoming game seriously; Layla gets mad at Spencer after Olivia lets it slip about his post football plans. (There's such a thing on this show as post football???)

Antiques Roadshow (PBS): A 1949 Charles and Ray Eames set of molded chairs; a Sioux pipe and pipe bag circa 1880; a 1959 Mad Magazine Issue number 8--Frank N Stein. (You know If old issues of Mad Magazine are actually worth any money....)

Poinsettias For Christmas (Lifetime): A woman returns home to help her father save the family poinsettia farm. (Oh Come On!!!) With Bethany Joy Lenz,  and John Schneider

8:30

Bob Hearts Abishola (CBS): After Abishola calls off things with Bob (awwww); Auntie Oh sets her up with a Nigerian pharmacist; Bob tries online dating out of desperation but finds it difficult. (Perhaps he finds it difficult because of the title of the show that he's on)

9:00

All Rise (CBS): When a jury's field trip to a crime scene takes a dramatic turn, Lola must determine if the trip helps the defendant or has biased the jury; Mark is ready to take down a reputed crime boss but then discovers a cop may have tampered with the crime scene endangering his case. (Say it isn't so CBS!)

Prodigal Son (FOX): As Malcolm's childhood memories resurface yet again, he realizes his father's killing spree may not have been a surprise to everyone in the family, Malcom, Gil, Dani, and JT hunt for a stalker with a creepy eye for design. (A stalker with a creepy eye for design sounds like a pun David Caruso would've made on CSI Miami honestly)

Black Lightning (The CW): With Freeland under occupation, the Pierce family gets pulled into different directions; Jefferson and Lynn are at odds with each other; Jennifer feels powerless despite having powers. (Nods)

Retro Report on PBS (PBS): Why crime witnesses sometimes fail to act; a naval officer who transformed the military; psychedelic drugs; and the voyage of a trash barge. (PBS? PBS? PBS?)

The Terror (AMC): This season finale finds "Henry and Asako look to the past to provide answers to their current unending turmoil; Chester and Luz grapple with with their identities in hopes of saving those who are dearest to them; Amy and Yamato struggle to once again assimilate into modern American life. (Airs until 10:10)  (Having binged on this season btw last night and today--it feels like two different shows squeezed together--it wants to be a sobering look at the harsh realities Japanese Americans had to face during post Pearl Harbor WW2 times by being rounded up and forced to live for several years in an internment camp; and it wanted to be a typical J-Horror ghost story/possession story on top of that--and the 2 really didn't work together at all. Also George Takei was a cast member but seemed to be missing from like half the episodes for some reason.Kinda seems like a missed opportunity as he's pretty good in the episodes he's actually in. C. Thomas Howell was also in the show's cast! (He's the commander of the internment site)

The Deuce (HBO): In the wake of a personal loss, Candy finds the emotional core of her latest movie; Abby confronts Vincent after she makes an alarming discovery; Paul turns to activism as the AIDS epidemic continues to ravage NYC's gay community. (Once again I did not forget to include this show!!!)

Brady Bunch Renovation (HGTV): The series concludes with a look at unseen moments and unforgettable reveals of the master suite, family room, the den, and a celebrity surprise! (America briefly pauses to wish it was somehow Florence Henderson)

Drain the Oceans (Nat Geo): Story of how Rome dominated the world for 500 years by conquering the sea. (Conquer The Sea!....Conquer the Sea!...Conquer the Sea!)

9:30

Green Acres (MeTV): How Hooterville Was Founded "Oliver makes an attempt to re-create the founding of Hooterville" (But Why???)

10:00

Bull (CBS): Bull helps a social media influencer take her father to cour to overturn his legal guardianship over her empire, which he was granted after the young mogul suffered a mental breakdown. (Bull you got your work cut out for you, most CBS viewers look at young people on social media with disdain--of course that doesn't stop them from using it themselves to argue pointlessly on politics and the like)

Bluff City Law (NBC): After a young woman is murdered, Elijah and Anthony take on hate speech in a case against controversial leader Campbell Matthers who is represented by Elijash's old friend and attorney Rachel Madson. (For a second i swore my writing said Rachel Maddow and i thought that can't possibly be right tho Maddow vs. Jimmy Smits would make for some interesting tv i suppose)

The Good Doctor (ABC): A conspiracy theorist questions Dr. Neal Melendez. Dr Claire Brown treats a woman whose inability to feel pain is threatening her marriage and her life (in that order); Dr. Shaun Murphy and Dr. Aaron Glassman each face crises in their relationships. (I like the show, but what's up with the synopsis writer using everyone's full name here??? I mean i assume people watching the show are gonna know who the characters are just from their names right? I would!)

POV (PBS): "The Feeling of Being Watched" Journalist Assia Boundaoui uncovers FBI documents about Operation Vulgar Betrayal, a pre 9/11 counter-terrorist probe conducted in Illinois. (This runs an hour and a half everyone)

Lodge 49 (AMC): The second season of this very quirky light-hearted comedic drama comes to an end with "After the events in Mexico, the Lynx group regroups at a new Lodge and prepare for an important coronation, Liz goes for a swim, Connie has a secret." This runs until 11:17 tonight (Technically it starts at 10:10 also)  I also binged this show btw Friday and Saturday--and it was really, really enjoyable. Its also quite unusual, and you kinda have to get onto its wavelength for its not exactly like other shows--its way more offbeat. Its got a terrific recurring cast tho--and Paul Giamatti showed up for the last three episodes as a pompous Clive Cussler type...(he's an exec producer on the show so him showing up isn't so out of the blue) Its been a fun show, i wonder if anyone else was like watching--especially the fact that it was still airing new episodes into the start of the fall season! (What's up with that AMC???)

My Horror Story (Travel): A man is horrified to learn that he is the target of a biblical demon that will stop at nothing to possess his soul; a ghostly woman steps out at a young artist's dreams and into her reality. (shrugs--i guess these things just happen sometimes???)

Sadly there's no new ep of Cops on tonight so i can't say that Cops Is Filmed In Front Of A Live Studio Audience. (But Matthew you just did!!!)

HAVE A GOOD START OF THE WORKWEEK EVERYONE!!!
