Hey All, Again not much on tonight but what there is should be sufficient...maybe. This is What's On for September 13th 2019
Streaming---Netflix has a new season (the 7th season and i believe the last one as well) of Ashton Kutcher/Sam Elliot comedy The Ranch, They also have a movie about a tall high school girl who befriends a Sweedish exchange student even taller than herself and gets involved in a love triangle that threatens her life in a new movie simply titled "TALL GIRL" and that Kaitlin Deaver Rape Drama "Unbelievable" also premieres tonight as well--and the only thing i know about it is that Entertainment Weekly gave it a rave in their latest issue. Oh right also Chelsea Handler has a new documentary "exploring white privilege" called "Hello Privilege, Its Me Chelsea"
8:00
Hawaii 5-0 (CBS): Part One of last May's two part season finale is rerun tonight as we find Joey Lawrence as a computer hacker who is the only witness/last man standing in a massacre of a bunch of FBI agents at a field office and of course the 5-0 team is asked to find the assailants.(See Joey Lawrence Act!!!!)
American Housewife (ABC): In this rerun from April, Katie challenges herself and her oldest daughter to see how long they can go without using their cell phone in order to prove to her youngest daughter that she does need a cell phone. This needless to say does not go as well as planned.
Battlebots (Discovery): MOAR FIGHTIN' ROBOTS FIGHTIN ONE ANOTHER!!! CAN"T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG ROBOTS?!?!?!?!?
8:30
Fresh Off the Boat (ABC): In this rerun from February--Jessica tries to build a better relationship with Grandma Huang thru mah-jong, and Louis challenges Emory to a wrestling match for some reason. (i dunno why either!)
9:00
Magnum PI (CBS): After one of them dogs dig up human remains on Robin Masters' estate, Magnum is tasked with finding out what happened to the deceased who turns out to be both a long missing cop and a mentor figure to Detective Katsimoto (Simon Kang) when he was first starting out on the force.
Reef Break (ABC): Bumped to Friday because of ABC's need to make the Democratic Debate three hours long instead of two (if you'll allow an editorial here---Stupid Pointless Debate!!!!) this series sees its season finale airing tonight instead of on its usual night and time---"After the events of last week's episode, Cat Chambers is on the run for her life...secrets are broken and futures are uncertain as Cat Chambers faces her toughest case yet---clearing the name of one Cat Chambers!" CAT CHAMBERS! CAT CHAMBERS! CAT CHAMBERS!
Peeking (The CW): The CW network burns off a reality show they ordered starting tonight with this series about various professionals in various occupations being profiled and followed around as they do their job. There are two episodes airing back to back in this hour and one is about a motorcross star and the other is about....???
American Masters (PBS): Raul Julia: The World's A Stage. This 90 minute documentary profiles the Shakespearean Actor from his beginnings on stage (He was a roommate of Robin Williams' at Julliard!) crossing over into film with acclaimed performances in Kiss of the Spider Woman and achieving stardom with The Addams Family, and dying young in the mid 90s due to complications of Aids.
Diners, Dives, and Drive Ins (FOOD):A Middle Eastern restaurant in Santa Fe serves up shawarma and salmon souvlaki; A Scandanavian place in Kansas City is profiled; and a popular tortilla place in El Paso is visited.
Ancient Aliens is in reruns this week (Sorry Jasoo!) but there is a new--
Ghost Hunters: Haunted Houseguests (Travel) (shrugs) They're going somewhere in Massachusetts to investigate a poltergeist!
The Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis (Comedy Central): Last summer's roast of Bruce Willis gets rerun tonight. I don't think i knew he had been given the roast treatment last summer so its new to me.
Gomer Pyle (MeTV): Carter allows a rabbit to escape but must capture it when he learns that it belonged to the general's son. (I'm guessing Carter ends up recruiting Gomer in the capturing of said rabbit???)
This is as usual followed at 9:30 by Green Acres with "How To Succeed In Television Without Really Trying" (that's the ep's title!) as Lisa invests in a 10 year old wizard's electronic company. (nods)
10:00
Blue Bloods (CBS): In this rerun from May--Danny and Baez must suss out which twin brother is the murderer of an ex wife of one of them. (Each one claims the other did it--natch) I remember when this aired and its got a depressing ending. Meanwhile Nicky applies to work for the Justice League (or something like that) which is the show's equivalent to The Innocence Project whose leader has crossed swords with Frank (aka Commissioner Mustache) in the past.
Killjoys (Syfy): The lady's terraforming plans are becoming a reality as our trio of heroes must find a way to finally defeat her--which what do you think they've been trying to do all summer long now??? (aside from trying to get themselves out of that space jail they found themselves stuck in for three episodes that is)
Mysteries of the Abandoned (Discovery): New discoveries include an American ghost town in the Amazonuan Jungle (that makes no sense); and rare ghost ships in the middle of the Nevada Desert. (ok)
Hogan's Heroes (MeTV): Hogan gets a tranfer to London and must find a way to fight it in order to remain at Stalag 17
11:00
ROOM 104 (HBO): I don't usually cover stuff in the 11:00 hour but this HBO Anthology series is back for a new season (its 2nd season i believe) starting tonight with "An estranged brother and sister reunite at the site of their potential future inheritance" (sounds good!)
HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND GUYS AND GHOULS!!!!
