What's On Tonight (Sunday): Euphoria still elicits zero euphoria

Hey. WU? Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, August 4!

Early Primetime

60 Minutes (CBS, 7 p.m.): Federal law enforcement trackers reveal how they finally located gangster Whitey Bulger, South African miners dig deeper mines to extract gold, and the Media Lab develops futuristic technology by recruiting people with the craziest ideas.

Doctor Who πŸ“Ί (Retro TV, 7 p.m.): The alien Urbankan Monarch (Stratford Johns) plots to invade Earth for its minerals using a deadly toxin to wipe out humanity so he can continue to make improvements to his ship. Of course, the Doctor (Peter Davison) doesn't like that plan.

The Favourite πŸŽ₯ (HBO, 7:55 p.m.): For realz, I love this movie. LOVE. IT.

Legend of Deep Blue: Sharkmania (Discovery Channel, 7 p.m.): I'm pretty sure this is a repackaged program that ran earlier in the week, but with this hour of television, Shark Week 2019 comes to an end.

The Odd Couple πŸ“Ί (Decades, 5:30 p.m.): Ok, not quite early primetime, but this episode is a CLASSIC. It is certainly in my top 100 episodes of all time. (Yeah, OF ALL TIME!) Oscar (Jack Klugman) and Felix (Tony Randall) appear together on Password, and Felix is sure that they can win. On stage, things don't go as hoped. I'm laughing just thinking about it.

Spider-Man: Homecoming πŸŽ₯ (FX, 7 p.m.): The superhero title gets its umpteenth origin story, but it is generally above average.

FOR THE RECORD: License to Kill (Oxygen, 7 p.m.); MasterChef Latino (Telemundo, 7 p.m.); Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'n Out (VH1, 7 p.m.); Snapped (Oxygen, 6 p.m.)

πŸ•— Eastern / πŸ•– Central

CMA Fest 2019 (ABC, 8 p.m.): No game shows tonight... BOOOOOOOO!!! Even more reason to watch the highlighted episodes of The Odd Couple.

Everybody Loves Raymond πŸ“Ί (TV Land, 8 p.m.): The two-hour Raymond block tonight is the end of season seven that ends with the wedding of Robert (Brad Garrett) and Amy (Monica Horan).

Good Witch (Hallmark Channel, 8 p.m.): Martha discovers the original Middleton town charter and learns that it holds clues to the location of a fabled treasure. I hope she finds early plat maps. I love old plat maps.

The Rook (Starz, 8 p.m.): Myfanwy returns to her childhood home. Meanwhile, Farrier faces consequences for something at the Checquy, and Monica copes with the discovery that she was betrayed by Marcus. (*shakes fist at Marcus*)

Serengeti (Discovery Channel, 8 p.m.): SERIES PREMIERE. With food in abundance it's a time of plenty in the Serengeti, but a series of unexpected events turns families against each other and stretches relationships to breaking point. This makes it sound like something a PBS-import ensemble...

Top Gear (BBC America, 8 p.m.): Paddy and Freddie have a jungle adventure with a pair of very rare, very cheap old cars. Chris Harris tries out the world's most luxurious SUV, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

FOR THE RECORD: 90 Day FiancΓ©: Happily Ever After? (TLC); Amazing Dogs (Smithsonian); Beachfront Bargain Hunt (HGTV); Big Brother (CBS); A Lie to Die For (Oxygen); The Real Housewives of the Potomac (BET); Ridiculousness (MTV); Ripley's Believe It or Not (Travel Channel, finale); Sunday Best (Bravo); Vengeance: Killer Neighbors (HLN, premiere)

πŸ•˜ Eastern / πŸ•— Central

Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: A Game of Cat and Mouse (Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, 9 p.m.): After more than a year, Aurora is back! A taunting clue left for Aurora at a meeting begins a cat-and-mouse game between her and a mysterious criminal who commits increasingly serious crimes that leave the town rattled. The "increasingly serious crimes" makes me think low stakes, like a car partially blocking the sidewalk.

City on a Hill (Showtime, 9 p.m.): In this renewed show, Jackie celebrates a win in front of the cameras but reaches a new low outside of the limelight. A shining moment from Decourcy promises a potential future in politics.

Claws (TNT, 9 p.m.): After dropping bodies the couple weeks, Desna and the crew tie up loose ends for the Triads; guilt pushes Toby to do the unexpected, putting everyone in jeopardy... even if it is currently on hiatus?

Instinct (CBS, 9 p.m.): Dylan and Lizzie investigate when a street artist's work is found with a victim's body in the middle of it. Ryan catches a suspect in the Sleeping Beauty Killer investigation.

The Movies (CNN, 9 p.m.): Because the best way(?) to tell the story of movies is to reverse time every week. In the penultimate episode, movies of the 1960s.

Pennyworth (Epix, 9 p.m.): Alfred turns down an offer from billionaire businessman Thomas Wayne and instead accepts an assignment that puts him in the crosshairs of one of the East End's most dastardly figures.

Preacher (AMC, 9 p.m.): PREMIERE. Preacher guy is back! Jesse is rocked by visions of an apocalyptic future as he and Tulip prepare for an all-out assault on Masada, where Cassidy – trapped to a torturous fate – struggles to hang on. Starr and his Grail operatives are ready for them.

Saints & Sinners (Bounce, 9 p.m.): Rex does Ella's bidding, only to be burned in the end.

πŸ•™ Eastern / πŸ•˜ Central

Euphoria (HBO, 10 p.m.): FINALE. Guess what! There's no description! But this show knows it is SO IMPORTANT. I even caught up for the finale! Jules got high and had a fling while away for the weekend. Will she tell Rue? Cassie is preggo. Kat's new bad girl personality cost her her friends – and she hasn't told anyone she's camming. Fezco is out of drugs. Nate is trying to keep his lie together so he can keep control of Maddy. I have no idea why I want to watch this season to the end...

Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted (National Geographic, 10 p.m.): Deep in Morocco's Middle Atlas Mountains, Gordon Ramsay unlocks the secrets of the Berber cuisine. ♫ Were off on the road to Morocco ♫

Jamestown (PBS, 10:30 p.m.): Jocelyn's journey upriver tests friendships and throws life into jeopardy, though TBH, I don't think game shows existed yet. Maria and Temperance team up against Yeardley.

The Loudest Voice (Showtime, 10 p.m.): Gretchen Carlson begins working with a lawyer after taping Roger's harassment for over a year.

Sugar and Toys (Fuse, 11 p.m.): Kyle discovers that a slick talking squatter has been secretly living in his crib. On the TV: The Lils become gigantic and go on a rampage, a curious monkey explores his sexual identity, and a board game invites young girls to Smash the Patriarchy.
